Aug. 1st, Wed. 6:30pm - 9pm. Eugene Cannabis Grow-Op meeting - for patients and caregiver/providers who are interested in, or participating in the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act Program. (OMMA) Happens the first Wednesday of every month at the Baker Building (the old Register-Guard Building) 975 High St., Eugene, Oregon Rm. 134 (use 10th Ave. entrance).  The meeting location is wheel-chair accessible.  For more information, contact: Eugene Cannabis Grow-Op at P.O. Fri., Aug. 3, 6pm - 1am.  First Friday.  Blue Catfish Studios and the Belmont Arts Center present First Friday - featuring musical guests and refreshments, $5 boarding pass.  Bands, etc. TBA.  Boothing/table opportunity.

Sat., Aug. 4, ? - Pacific Greens convention.  Outreach opportunity.

Mon., Aug. 6, 6pm - 10pm.  All the Beautiful Pizza U Can Eat.  A benefit for PDX NORML hosted by It's A Beautiful Pizza at 3341 SE Belmont, Portland, (503) 233-5444. Music and activism with your pie, we're asking for a $5 donation. Come, stuff your face and help end the war at the same time!

Aug. 11th, Sat., 6pm - 12pm.  A Fundraiser and Membership drive.  The next event by our friends at the Blue Catfish Studio to raise awareness about cannabis prohibition.  Musical coordination TBA, but if it's anything like last time, you won't want to miss it.

Aug. 15th, Wed., 7pm.  Regular, general Pdx NORML Chapter meeting.  Agenda; Ratification of the Board, Election results, Bylaws and Principles (links). Next steps and other things people might want to hear about.  Pick up the latest Newsletter - just another part of our Informing, Educating and Organizing others to the same.  Further - what do we do now? What's up (follow up on Legislation and pending events) This will be required for all members who give a damn, either in person or by proxy (call or email us or something!). PdxNORML is delighted to host the only Portland screening of a movie by Bob Ray of Austin, Texas, "Rock Opera." An independent film that is making a limited tour of the West Coast, Rock Opera "starts out as a rambunctious stoner comedy and turns into a tense and action packed thriller."

"From Austin, ‘The Live Music Capital of the World,’ Texas comes Rock Opera, a hilariously raucous and seedy tale of drug fueled rock and roll debauchery. Rock Opera sets a fictional tale of double crossing drug deals in Austin’s real life underground music and drug scene."
